• The Women of Daytona Harley-Davidson


    Daytona Bike Week kicks off today, which is coincidentally on International Women’s Day! What people may not know, is that many of the principle people who run and operate at Destination Daytona, Bruce Rossmeyer Daytona Harley-Davidson, are women. The President of the company Daytona Harley-Davidson is Sandy Rossmeyer, the wife of Bruce Rossmeyer, who took over the position when Bruce Rossmeyer passed away in 2009. The General Manager is Shelly Rossmeyer Pepe, who had worked at the dealership since the early days of Daytona Harley-Davidson when Destination Daytona was still a dream. These women are also joined by Mandy Rossmeyer who is the Marketing and Events Coordinator for Destination Daytona and Bruce Rossmeyer Harley Davidson.

    From the very inception of Daytona Harley-Davidson, it has always been a family business. In an industry dominated by men, it is fantastic to see how the legacy Bruce left behind is thriving and growing thanks to the strong, ambitious women who are the driving force behind the success of Bruce Rossmeyer’s Harley-Davidson and Destination Daytona. Their commitment and understanding of the Harley Davidson community have continued to make Bruce Rossmeyer’s Harley-Davidson one of Florida’s most successful Harley-Davidson dealerships. Sandy witnessed how Bruce built a booming Harley-Davidson dealership and carried on her sharp business acclimate and has continued to grow the Bruce Rossmeyer Harley-Davidson into what it is today. The General Manager, Shelly Rossmeyer, rose up through the ranks of the dealership starting as a sales consultant at the original Daytona Harley-Davidson dealership. Shelly works hand and hand with all the family members including Will Rossmeyer, who is the Operations Manager for the dealership and Destination Daytona’s complex. In fact, Shelly Rossmeyer Pepe’s husband, Dean Rossmeyer serves as legal counsel for the dealership. Mandy Rossmeyer, marketing direction, and event coordinator have seen the tremendous growth of significant events including Bike Week, Biketoberfest, and the Bruce Rossmeyer Charity Ride to benefit Camp Boggy Creek.
