According to the Florida Highway Partrol, one person is dead and three others were injured in a double motorcycle crash in Orange County.
On Saturday, February 18th, Luis Fratta, 52, was driving his motorcycle east on Colonial Drive near Christmas with Michelle Denmark, 49, on the back of his bike.
Troopers say that as the motorcycle in front of them, which also had two riders, slowed to make a right turn on Cupid Avenue at around 5:15 p.m., Fratta didn’t slow down.
The report continues that Fratta, a Cocoa resident, tried to avoid a collision, but ended up hitting the back left side of the bike in front of them.
Denmark, of Mims, was pronounced dead at the scene. Fratta was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center with serious injuries. The two riders of the second bike, who were from Titusville, had minor injuries but were not hospitalized, troopers said.
Troopers are still investigating and no charges have been filed.
